STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
BscKin, CSEP-CPT
Tara is from Tisdale, Saskatchewan, where she grew up as a competitive figure skater. Her skating background includes being a National medalist, Saskatchewan Provincial Champion, Team Saskatchewan and Team Quebec member, and Junior World competitor.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is a Certified Personal Trainer through CSEP (CSEP-CPT). She is also a National Coach Trained with Skate Canada.
Tara got into strength and conditioning because she experienced how much stronger, healthier, and more confident proper strength training made her as a figure skater. Seeing how extra off-ice training translated to better performance and fewer injuries made her want to help other athletes feel the sameβstrong, capable, and supported.
As a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Ignite, Tara currently works with athletes, particularly figure skaters. She focuses on strong foundations, quality movement, and individualized training. Her goal is to create a supportive, challenging environment where athletes build confidence and improve both their performance and overall well-being.
Outside the gym, Tara is a skating coach at Skate Saskatoon for both figure skating and powerskating. She enjoys golf, travelling, and real estate photography.
