STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
B.Sc. Kin, NSCA CSCS
Rodeem was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Baseball, soccer, and basketball were among the first few sports he played growing up. He played football only after moving from Halifax to Saskatoon in 2012, and also did a couple of years of wrestling in high school.
Rodeem holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta and obtained his NSCA CSCS certification in 2023. Playing sports and being involved in strength and conditioning nearly his entire life made the transition into joining the community of strength coaching and training an easy one, as he had always had an interest in high-performance athletics.
As a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Ignite, Rodeem currently works with university and high school athletes, the general population, and beginners. He specializes in and enjoys working with mostly high school and university athletes and those interested in sport, mainly football, but also athletes in different sports.
Rodeem's coaching philosophy centres on helping others become the best version of themselves. He wants to help others improve in the gym and be a positive force to support them in doing so. He offers his ideas to others, gained from experience as a professional athlete, prior coaching experience, his degree, and his continued education. He was shown how positive the gym space can be in his life by Ignite when he was a young, developing athlete and still to this day. He hopes to give back the same positivity and confidence he has been shown and now embodies.
Outside the gym, Rodeem currently plays professional football in the CFL. Since 2023, he has been with the Calgary Stampeders Football Club and is going into his fourth season with the team. He spends most of his time outside the gym hanging out with his friends and family. He loves to play video games and board games with his friends, listens to and plays music, and picked up playing the alto saxophone in July 2024, enjoying practicing for fun since he stopped playing after high school. He is also really good at Spikeball.
