PERFORMANCE COACH
NASM-PES, NSPA-CSAC, ISSA-SSC, NSPA-CSNC
Graham is a performance coach at Ignite Athletics with a background rooted in high-performance sport. He first joined Ignite in 2013 while competing with the Huskie Men's Basketball team, later transitioning to track and field, where he intensified his training under Joel and Jordan. In his first year on the track, he became the CanWest 300m champion, eventually earning First Team All-Canadian honours twice and multiple provincial titles in the 200m and 400m. After his track career, he continued competing at a national level in bobsleigh and flag football before moving into coaching full-time in 2017.
Graham holds certifications as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES), Sport Specific Conditioning Coach (ISSA-SSC), Certified Speed and Agility Coach (NSPA-CSAC), and Certified Speed and Nutrition Coach (NSPA-CSNC). He has been driven in his pursuit of continuing education, with current learning interests including endurance physiology, motor learning, longevity, and behaviour change.
Having dealt with congenital hip impingement throughout his athletic career—including a later hip replacement—Graham developed a deep interest in helping athletes navigate chronic pain and long-term injuries. He specializes in building speed and power, but his true passion is helping people train confidently and effectively despite physical limitations.
Graham currently works with a wide variety of athletes and teams, including the Ignite Fit 6 am group, Masters Track and Field athletes, professional hockey players, Saskatchewan Rush players, and Huskie Football athletes preparing for the CFL Combine.
Outside the gym, Graham's favourite activities include long-distance cycling, lifting weights, cross-country skiing, and exploring trails with his Golden Retriever, Goose, and his wife, Brynn.
